Standing at the end of their undergraduate journey, the class of 2025 eagerly awaits new beginnings. We congratulate our seniors for their hard work within the Honors Program and the university as a whole! Our graduating seniors will be heading to:

  • Loma Linda University School of Medicine
  • Loma Linda University School of Dentistry
  • National Museum of Math

Several seniors will be pursuing graduate programs prior to professional school. One senior will be attending Loma Linda University’s Master of Medical Sciences program and another will be pursuing her MBA at La Sierra University’s Zapara School of Business before applying for medical school.

Others plan to take gap years before professional school. One senior aims to work as an EMT before PA school and another will be taking a gap year to travel and take classes in Boston prior to medical school.

Alexandria Jihae FALVO, FUTURE m.d.

Advice: Enjoy college! Study hard, but also have fun. Broaden your horizons, explore new things. Stay hungry, stay humble, love your friends.

Highlight: My favorite part of honors was living in South Hall my junior year. I made so many new friends and wonderful memories in that place.

Krista e. dufala, future pa

Advice: You will be able to change and grow as the years go by, and once you do, remember it forever, try not to underestimate your adaptability. We all have it in us, it’s part of growing up and the more we remind ourselves of that, the easier it is to transition into new and exciting things. The less inhibited your life becomes. And lastly, always remember to stay hungry, stay humble and love your friends.

Highlight: Finding people that I want to spend the rest of my life loving, and that I feel honored to have spent the last four years with as we’ve all grown and learned more about ourselves and the world.

Brianna Michelle Jenna Baruga, FUTURE orTHOPEDIC SURGEON

Advice: i’d recommend finding a healthy balance/outlet between school and your interests. for me, it was hanging out with my friends whenever possible, crafting/junk-journaling, and going to the gym/intramurals! and not being afraid to ask for advice or help!

Highlight: i know it sounds super basic but the Malaysia/Singapore trip, this trip really allowed me to get to know the cohort (as i joined late) and bond together while navigating whole new countries 🙂 on a side note, one memory i have is wanting to skip class in the middle of my first quarter of being in the honors program and my classmates saying i “officially am an honors kid” as we all were debating skipping class that day LOL i guess skipping is totally not a honors thing :p

ESTER PEIRO, FUTURE GYNECOLOGIST

Advice: Carpe Diem!!!!!!! Life is too short!!!!! Don’t overthink it, just do it!!!!!!

Highlight: Probably my time in Malaysia and Singapore with my cohort and my time forming at South Hall with all of my friends. The baptism and usage of the f around room!

CALEB KIM, FUTURE M.D.

Advice: Stop taking things too seriously, but know when it is time to take things seriously.

Highlight: when alley and I raced our minivans on the freeway.

ZACHARIAH SUTTER, FELLOW AT NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MATH

Advice: Take at least one class that doesn’t contribute towards any requirements.

Highlight: The class discussions and books we read that would keep me thinking all week long.

katie Hyoeun jang, future dentist

Advice: Work hard, play hard! And learn how to take care of yourself, whether that’s cooking for yourself, going outside, journaling, spoiling yourself, etc.

Highlight: Disneyland with our class! It was such a wholesome trip that felt full circle to cap off our four years together. So much fun and so many laughs.

Congratulations to our seniors! We are so proud!
